Side effects: The MenB vaccine may cause mild side effects such as pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site, fever, tiredness, irritability, loss of appetite, or headache. Serious allergic reactions are very rare.

Additional precautions: Meningitis B can spread through close contact such as coughing, sneezing, and saliva. Good hygiene, avoiding sharing drinks or utensils, and being aware of symptoms can help reduce risk. Vaccination may be especially important for those at increased risk or in certain outbreak settings.

Risks caused by meningitis B: Meningitis B is a serious bacterial infection that can cause meningitis, septicaemia, and sepsis. Symptoms can develop quickly and may include fever, headache, vomiting, rash, confusion, and severe illness. In some cases, it can be life-threatening.
